Stiles: Does Ford know we’re in a housing crisis?

QUEEN’S PARK – Marit Stiles, Leader of the Ontario NDP, released the following statement in response to news that Ford is still searching for a definition to attainable housing since 2022:

“Ontario is in a housing crisis but Ford is in no hurry to build the affordable homes we desperately need. He cannot even settle on a simple definition, despite seeing three Associate Ministers of Attainable Housing come and go. They are still wasting endless amounts of time. What is the hold up? Does Ford know we are in a housing crisis?

Ford refuses to listen to experts and shuts down real solutions like Homes Ontario. He’s failing to deliver the homes we need while Ontario’s housing starts continue to fall. What a waste of 6 years. If Ford can't define attainable housing, let alone build it, it's time he got out of the way for an NDP government so we can get Ontario back to building.”
